Role Overview
The Senior Legal Counsel serves as Enteractive’s principal in‑house legal authority, responsible for safeguarding the organisation’s interests, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions, and enabling sustainable, risk‑aware commercial growth. This senior role strengthens Enteractive’s legal governance framework and provides strategic, pragmatic legal leadership across the business.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the COO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team, offering expert guidance on legal, regulatory, contractual, operational, and privacy‑related matters. The role requires a highly experienced legal professional with strong business acumen, excellent judgement, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments in a fast‑paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Strategy & Governance
Develop and refine Enteractive’s legal strategy to support corporate objectives and long‑term sustainability.
Establish and maintain robust legal governance frameworks, policies, and procedures across all operating jurisdictions.
Provide strategic legal advice to the COO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team on risks, opportunities, and corporate positioning.
Ensure clear division of responsibilities between internal legal work and matters requiring external counsel, including cost‑effective delegation and oversight.
Prioritise legal matters, manage workflow, and ensure timely, pragmatic, solution‑oriented support to avoid operational bottlenecks.
Regulatory, Privacy & Compliance Oversight
Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards relevant to Enteractive’s B2B services.
Provide explicit legal oversight for telemarketing, SMS outreach, consent frameworks, TCPA, CASL, GDPR, ePrivacy, and cross‑border communication compliance, recognising these as core risk areas for Enteractive.
Collaborate closely with the Compliance Department to interpret regulatory developments and implement appropriate internal controls.
Work in partnership with the external Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure privacy, data protection, and data‑flow requirements are embedded into operational, commercial, and product activities.
Oversee internal investigations, regulatory responses, and risk assessments.
Contract Management & Commercial Enablement
Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of all commercial agreements, including B2B service contracts, vendor agreements, partnership arrangements, and marketing‑related contracts.
Support efficient deal closure by structuring commercially viable agreements that balance legal risk with business opportunity.
Develop and maintain standardised templates, negotiation guidelines, and playbooks to streamline processes and reduce exposure.
Position Legal as a business enabler, ensuring commercial teams receive timely, practical, and commercially aligned legal support.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration (Global)
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure legal alignment, operational excellence, and clear division of responsibilities:
Human Resources: Employment law, investigations, disciplinary processes, terminations, policy development, and global labour‑law compliance.
Marketing: Advertising compliance, brand/IP protection, campaign approvals, consumer‑protection risk mitigation.
Finance: Legal oversight of audits, financial compliance, corporate structuring, intercompany arrangements, and risk assessments.
Compliance: Regulatory interpretation, licensing, reporting, internal controls, and audit support.
B2B Sales & Account Management: Commercial contracting, pricing structures, service levels, risk mitigation, and enabling efficient deal closure.
Reactivation Sales: Legal oversight of customer‑facing processes, scripts, workflows, and compliance with consumer‑protection and data‑protection laws.
Product, AI & Automation: Legal support for product development, integrations, data flows, AI governance, ethical use, and future automation initiatives.
IT & Technology: IT contracting, cybersecurity, data‑protection obligations, incident‑response support, and technology‑driven initiatives.
Executive Leadership: Board‑level reporting, governance guidance, strategic legal analysis, and long‑term risk planning.
Risk Management & Business Protection
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across all business areas.
Develop proactive risk‑management strategies and crisis‑response protocols.
Safeguard Enteractive’s intellectual property, proprietary information, and commercial interests.
Manage external counsel relationships to ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality legal support.
Corporate Affairs & External Representation
Represent Enteractive in legal matters involving regulators, partners, and external stakeholders.
Support corporate governance activities, including board documentation, resolutions, and corporate filings.
Contribute to strategic initiatives such as partnerships, investment opportunities, and potential M&A activity.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction.
8+ years PQE, ideally within iGaming, technology, telecoms, or other highly regulated sectors.
Proven experience as Senior Legal Counsel or equivalent senior in‑house role.
Strong understanding of international regulatory environments, including GDPR, TCPA, CASL, and cross‑border outreach frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex commercial negotiations and high‑risk legal matters.
Experience working with senior leadership in a fast‑moving, international organisation.
